I purchased the Houghton jack Mann as well from "you know where" on Easter special , it turned up today and the boxes looks like it's been thrown or squashed . one of the screwcap was damaged and leaked.

I wasn't that worried when I saw some of the comments on the other forum, the heat damage ,bretty etc. but I have sent them an email to take it back.

has anyone else receive their orders yet?

Can anyone PM me details about the Jack Mann deal ? If it's still on (I'm doubtful though at this late stage) I might get some too !

I had a 2005 version of this the other day and it redefined for me what great heights this grape - in the right hands - can soar to. Fabulous wine.

David

That is great to read. We are heading off on the school holidays tomorrow and I am taking one of the 2005 with me in addition to a 2012. I was really looking forward to seeing the difference in development.

Cheers
Mark

Just ordered;

3 x 2012 Rockford Moppa Springs
3 x 2013 Rockford Rod & Spur
4 x 2013 Rockford Rifle Range Cabernet 750ml
2 x Rockford P.S Marion Tawny

First taste of the 2012 Moppa so hopefully it's better than the 2011. We enjoyed the Rod & Spur more than we expected on the weekend and loved the Rifle Range as usual.

Other recent purchases;

1 x 2012 Oakridge Chardonnay Local Vineyard Series Guerin Vineyard
1 x 2008 Tyrrell's Sémillon Single Vineyard Stevens
6 x 2014 Casa Nueva Cabernet Sauvignon Late Reserva

I ended up taking the 2005 away to Bangkok over the school holidays and had it with a fellow foodie. Whilst it's a lovely wine it has only just started to open up and develop after 12 years in the cellar. It clearly still has years and years ahead of it. Truly a superb wine.
