Yep, no worries. Will probably be an '04 Pol Roger, but will see what else I have of interest at work. Might be a 2002 Radenti from Freycinet. Anyway, some sort of fizz to whet the appetite an get the taste buds started.

Do you guys want to do this blind? Just throwing the option out there...I know some people aren't comfortable with that and if we end up with 11, it won't leave much to go back to..

I don't mind, I am open to it but I am not gonna push hard for it. I do kind of like having an idea what I am drinking so I can decide if I want to let it sit and keep some for a while...

Still not 100% sure what I am going to bring, but have narrowed it down to a couple options, 2 of which are white, 1 of which is red.

Hi Polymer, if there are any late scratchings happy to come along and bring either red or white burgundy - does 1er or GC Chablis count?

Cheers

Paul

Can the maybes try to confirm by Monday?

Vinh - I remember their glassware was decent..they have a pretty good wine section too so I'd be surprised if not. But I don't really remember the details..

Now that I've moved onto the list for the other Burgundy offline - is it still ok if I go to this?
I'm happy to go but will let someone else go if they can't go to either.

Ge lot's of go's in that sentence.

Hey Kev,

You can scratch Lauren and myself off the reserve list.
Unfortunately the mid week timing isn't too good for us :(

We'll see you at the March Burg night though!

Anyone have any objections if we go to 11 and include PaulV?

We will probably end up with 10 as inevitably one will drop out but this way PaulV can just plan on coming.

Have to be honest and say I remain uncertain. Still don't know if I will be in Newcastle or not  Should know by midday tomorrow. If you need firm numbers or if anyone else wants to go then I can bow out. But please make me jealous and order up!!!

cheers

I'm just waiting on a reply from a mate who would love to come.
Do we need an extra? Looks like we are down to 7 or 8 at the moment.

We are definitely down to 8, maybe 7 as I am not sure MSE has confirmed. I'm sure no one would mind at all if your mate wanted to come. Still within the original 9 planned for.

Just pulled a 2008 Paul Pillot Chassagne Montrachet 1er la romanee and a 2003 Domaine Fourrier Gevrey Chambertin 1er Lo Goulots from the cellar - should go well with seafood and duck.

See you at 7 - who's name is it under?
Cheers

Paul
