Melbourne Offline - 3Bs: Barbaresco, Barolo & Brunello - 19/02/2016

Hi all,

Was speaking with Ozzie W and Alexc92 tonight and agreed to try and get another Melbourne offline up and running.

We're thinking of Friday, 19 February 2016 with an Italian theme of Barbarseco, Barolo or Brunello.

Our preference is for Scopri as the venue (subject to availability and price).

We're keen to proceed even as a small group - if anyone else is keen to participate (everyone welcome) please let us know.

Slight thread drift - I will be in Melbourne this Easter to catch a few footy games (March 25-29) and would love to catch up with a few forumites if the chance arises.

Might be better if I mention it again after the February offline is done and dusted?

FWIW, Scopri is an absolutely cracking venue.

Hi all, restaurant is booked for 7:00pm on the 19th - just awaiting final confirmation.

At this stage, they have proposed two menu options - (A) five course degustation for $110/person of (b) four course banquet (presume shared plates) for $90/person.

I'm happy to go with the 5-course option, but will be guided by general group consensus.

Please let me know over the next few days.
