2014 Vintage Inexpensive Stars

Post by Michael McNally »

A discussion on the RWAW/YDNT thread about the 2014 Wynns Coonawarra Shiraz prompted this thread. The 2014 vintage is hitting the shelves, What are your "Inexpensive Stars".

Inexpensive for me means widely available at up to $15. Please be careful to not name competitors of our gracious host, Gavin.

For me (I haven't had many 2014s yet):
2014 Wynns Coonawarra Shiraz
2014 Yering Station 'Little Yering' Pinot Noir

Cheers

I didn't think the 2014 has been released yet?

I think I had it and it was pretty good.

I have found recent vintages of Chalambar and Wynns WL to be quite similar in style and quality. They are, after all, not that far apart.

Off topic, but the latest Drumborg whites are both stunning.

I think you could be right - misread topic/year. Should not post after my first offline travelling home on the train.

My bad if I'm wrong, but I was at the cellar recently. Will check it out if I get chance.

I had a Teusner The Bilmore Shiraz 2014 the other night. Great value. Beautiful fruit with nice length. I recon it has a long future. A bargain at under $20.
