December 2015 Purchases

I was at Mt Pleasant last week and was shocked buy the prices of the "flagship" reds. I tried the OP and Rosehill and found them to be nice wines but couldn't bring myself to part with the asking price at the Cellar door. For that price point there are a lot of good wines around.

Yes, but do they have the hype attached go them that these wines do?

PS And yes I almost caved and bought a couple even though they are about 4 times my standard purchase price.

For those of you who have utilised the TWE staff account thingo - is there anything particularly worthwhile? Alot of the prices I've seen floating around are about the same as most retailers...

I really wasn't planning to buy anything more, but then I discovered that 2014 Hoddles Creek 1er Pinot has been pre-released to existing customers. What's a Pinot lover to do? I just had to buy 6 bottles before it sells out!

I've dined with a few notable riesling makes this year and CStH is the pinnacle for them so I thought I'd add it to the cellar in modest quantity.
