No real changes here for me ... in fact a six monthly TWE tasting/promo this week has perhaps only made it worse.

Not surprised by this, as I have been concentrating on buying foreign while prices have been low. Australia, France, Italy, Greece, Spain all get a spot!

The only Australian winery that could break into my top 5 in the next 12 months is Wynns...the Cab Sauv at $25 is hard to resist. However, will probably be basing my purchasing in future based on varietal exploration instead of producer.

Couple of changes to the order:
1. Tyrrell's - Off the back of some heavy private bin purchases coming in from V2014 (mainly) and some 2015 whites.
2. Seppelt - Mainly Drumborg increases.
3. Wynns - Have been trying to drink through some of my stocks of Red Stripe/White Label shiraz, so basically only Black Label left in the cellar now.
4. Blue Poles - Allouran has been a must-buy for me every vintage, and I also bought some Teroldego this year, but didn't get any Merlot or others.
5. Mt Pleasant - increasing prices will probably see this drop down the list. I still like the wines, and the latest wines' reviews sound fantastic, but just won't be able to afford too many of the top wines. Probably still buy a case of Elizabeth in some good years.

The biggest changes to the variety/regional breakdown has been Nebbiolo increasing from 3% to over 7%, but at this stage individual producers wouldn't have more than about a half-dozen max.

Mine hasn't changed much this year except that Burge Family Winemakers and Marius have replaced Seppelt and Colonial Estate. Rockford and Greenock Creek Wines are miles out in front although my GCW buys are now only 1 dozen a year (and only Cabernet and Grenache). I'm starting to shy away from the higher alcohol wines as I seem to be getting less tolerant of them now (but gee I have some to get through ). Even with Noon I mainly only buy the Eclipse and just fill up a case with the other wines. Another trip to the Barossa in April will no doubt boost my already Barossa centric cellar. It now stands at a tad under 80% South Australian. I am starting to get a bit more fussy with my purchases as well, as even 6 packs of a single wine are rare nowadays. One thing that did interest me was how little 2011 I bought.

No big changes for me, though Mount Pleasant hasn't dropped off as expected, but has jumped to 4th position. I have bought a few more '14s, and likely will increase when the '14 OP&OH and Rosehill are released.

Interesteing. Decreases accross the board with the exception of Marius. Marques de Murrieta and Sorrenberg have entered the top 12.
I think this reflects my buying. I rarely buy 6 packs anymore. I have expanded my whites (only slightly). I have taken an interest in more foreign wines-especially Spain and Italy. I've also targetted a few alternative varieties from australia such as Nebbiolo.
Be interesting to do this again in a few years...

I must share the love around producers more widely than most The most bottles of any wine I have represents less than 1% of my cellar - at a guess, probably Hoddles Creek Pinots.

Many years ago the top categories would have been Oz Cabernet and Shiraz. Thanks in part to the more widespread availability of imports these days, my most represented region now is Burgundy, followed by Piedmont.

I might have to go through the cellar, I think my spreadsheet might be out of date (like 5 years!) From memory, the top 5 are probably Killikanoon, Warrabilla, Morris, Scarpantoni and Bundalong or Wynns. Surprisingly, my normal number one hasn't made an appearance in this list...

Time to load up again. Just visited the Winery and there is a ton of 2006 Comtes in the cellars..its pretty good. I saw more than 300,000 bottles which is a lot considering how long its been out for. Unfortunately there will be a 2007.... Its ok, but not worth paying big money for. The 2008 is at least 2 years away and it is stupendous
