1 x 2008 Cobaw Ridge Syrah
1 x 2014 Granite Hills Riesling

I loved the Granite Hills riesling at their cellar door. IMO the best of their range. I suggested to the winemaker they just graft Riesling vines onto their other vines but the idea didn't go down that well.

Also really enjoyed the Cobaw Ridge Pinot Noir. Lovely organic fruit.

Agree on the Riesling, although I had a bit of a soft spot for their merlot.

I must say that both wineries have lovely, picturesque cellar doors (albeit in the middle of nowhere)!

The remoteness is a large part of the appeal of the area though recently I have been staying in Kyneton which is a lovely part of rural Victoria - when its not in danger of being burnt down by bushfire.

I tried the 07 and bought 2 last week while I was at Mt Pleasant but the price was over the top at the cellar door, got them $15 a bottle cheaper at a local large store, and also got 4 of the 2010

Surely this is the Langhe Nebbiolo not the Barolo?

It is indeed. Good pick up. I need to be more careful with my CellerTracker entries.

Already have the Vat 9, which is superb wine by the way.

Getting too hot now to buy anymore wine (from a transport point of view) ... well that's what I am telling myself anyway.
