1 x 2014 Granite Hills Riesling

I loved the Granite Hills riesling at their cellar door. IMO the best of their range. I suggested to the winemaker they just graft Riesling vines onto their other vines but the idea didn't go down that well.

Also really enjoyed the Cobaw Ridge Pinot Noir. Lovely organic fruit.

Agree on the Riesling, although I had a bit of a soft spot for their merlot.

I must say that both wineries have lovely, picturesque cellar doors (albeit in the middle of nowhere)!

I must say that both wineries have lovely, picturesque cellar doors (albeit in the middle of nowhere)!

The remoteness is a large part of the appeal of the area though recently I have been staying in Kyneton which is a lovely part of rural Victoria - when its not in danger of being burnt down by bushfire.

Already have the Vat 9, which is superb wine by the way.
