As you probably already know, the Griotte sells for North of $1200 up here, and the CSJ north of $700. (I never sell wine, and never will, but I suspect there may a bit of these "appearing" on the secondary Aussie market in the near future!!!)

I didn't know that. I like these too much to flick them. Anyway, I only got one Griotte.

2007's still cheap. 2004 crept up and anything before, well, it's still cheaper than Grange and HofG. I have never met a Burg lover not moved by his his wines. Santo Stefano Riserva the Holy Grail.

A few singles for tasters this month. Most very good. Curly Flat Chardonnay stunning. I couldn't really get my head around the Bannockburn. Vajra Rosso good but probably richer than I was looking for.

2009 Bannockburn Shiraz
2014 Freycinet Riesling
2013 Curly Flat Chardonnay
2013 Curly Flat Pinot Noir
2015 Curly Flat White Pinot
2013 Delamere Chardonnay
2011 G.D Vajra Langhe Rosso

And a couple for the cellar:
6 x 2013 Brokenwood "Oakey Creek" Semillon
3 x 2009 Crawford River Riesling

and quaffers:
12 x 2012 Glenlofty Pyrenees Cabernet Sauvignon

Just got to pick up a 6-pack of 2015 Drumborg and I'll be done. Unless I can afford some more Curly Flat. Then I'll be done.

As TWE are the owner's it makes sense to buy from them direct ... it still ends up with TWE in the end ... less the mark ups of the other outlets!

Hi Will

Had a 2009 Suckfizzle Cabernet Sauvignon the other nite - lovely big MR cab flavours but not quite integrated. A pleasant enuff drink but I'm banking on the package to get a bit better in time. I'll try another in a year or so. Hope I'm not disappointed - anyone got any ideas how these progress?

Thanks Luke. I haven't had any older ones of these. I've got some of the normal Stella Bella label Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot back to '07, and they're drinking well, though they've been delicious since release. I expected the Suckfizzle to be more of a cellaring style, and still relatively young I guess, so I have faith. I'll hold off for a few.

It was so good I bought another one!
Still lots of primary fruit and hasnt really integrated as yet with the oak/acid.
I assume its due to being a magnum, but this has MINIMUM 10+ years before im opening
the new one. I have a normal bottle of that vintage, so would be good to see where its at,
but I really dont want to risk it yet as its my last one.

I loved the Granite Hills riesling at their cellar door. IMO the best of their range. I suggested to the winemaker they just graft Riesling vines onto their other vines but the idea didn't go down that well.

Also really enjoyed the Cobaw Ridge Pinot Noir. Lovely organic fruit.
