What's your tip for the Jimmy Watson?

Post by timnit »

The Jimmy Watson is being awarded tomorrow night! What is everyones tip??

For what it's worth I think the 2013 Seppelt St Peters is a huge chance!

Anyone else want to have a crack?

St Henri 2012? Ah yes, not new release, but 1-2 year old wine.

Something from Tyrrell's 2014 collection.

Some random hipster wine.

You heard it here first.

2013 & 2014 Only....

I really think it will be something out of the grampians from 2013... just a gut feel!

or
2013 Mount Langi Ghiran Mast Shiraz

I know the trophy CAN be awarded to a two year wine, but it has ALWAYS been given to a one year old wine in the past. So maybe those 2013's may not get up.

That's a good point. I've got no clue to be honest. I have wines that I like that I'd like to see win.
Then there's wines that get a lot of good reviews across the board that might be a chance.
I assume they get a ton of entries and they're all tasted blind?

While I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Jimmy Watson, I suspect that he wouldn't have chosen a pinot ;)
