Is it really worth the hype :?:
Just released at Quinn Direct in Brisbane but some ratbag purchased the entire 20 cases allocated within 30 minutes
Anywhere else at an affordable price :?:

You may or may not be aware that this forum is run by an online wine e-tailer called Gavin Trott, and I reckon he has some of the most competitive pricing around.

Why not send him an email and see what he can do for you (I believe the prices include freight anywhere in Australia too).

Just to rub salt into the wound, I will be picking up my case later this week

Thanks for the kind words, but apart from a few Magnums of the 2002, I'm sold out, the majority sold to my regulars, forum members and mailing list.

If you do know of somewhere for Graham to find the wine, simply pm him through the system, no problem!

Good luck Graham.
regards

I tried to get some off Gavin but he had sold out.

Cellar door still has the wine available @60 a pop with a six bottle limit.

There are 375ml ( should be more pint size flagships ) and magnums. Pricing uncompetitive in this range!!!

Parker's upcoming score will determine how good an"investment" the wine is. He indicated enthusiasm on an American forum. Not sure when the results are out.

Personally, I think it is a wine with good pedigree, and the price reasonable compared to other flagships.

Gavin delete if pointing to CD inappropriate.

All is not necessarily lost. My mate Tom has not received his yet and I understand that may be the case with a number of the smaller NSW retailers.

I prefer buying wine I have tasted but sometimes thats not possible and have to take a punt so I have a six pack on order and will make it a dozen with the 02 Stick and Stones which I loved. If I don't like the DA, I can always flog it off later as it is bound to be popular.
Cheers

Chester plan back-fired. Purposely delay till now while waiting for Parker's OZ review usually out in June. When Parker delay his review to Oct, cash-flow is more important to Chester
