KC,

I have the 96 and 98 in the cellar, terrific wines. CC is a low key producer and doesnt put on many tastings etc. I have not tried the 02 but this was a winery that was happy to have a batch of wine on display for tasting that had a known very high cork taint problem. Thats why I dont buy thier wine anymore.
Cheers

Thanks for the info Ric, especially on the warning on
high percentage of cork taint.

Much appreciated!

You are up early. :) The TCA problem was with the 99 Daylight Chamber Shiraz but it was the principle that got my my nose. They had a high percenetage of the wine with dud corks, knew about it and were happy to keep selling the wine.

I've tried a 2002 CC Shiraz (supposedly the flagship red) and it was very impressive, BUT, it was a cleanskin. The source of the bottle is beyond reproach. Being a cleanskin, I always have my doubts about what I'm drinking!

Ric,

I am not up early...Actually I've yet to get to bed...

Singapore time is 2 hrs behind Oz time...I got to bed at 5am...was busy monitoring soccer scores and surfing wine sites

David,
I'm tempted on the CC 2002, since many Parkerites have exalted it and the price seems to be a bargain.

Anybody tried the Fox Creek Short Row Shiraz 2002 as well?

The best wine IMHO fr the Cimicky's portfolio is their "Signature Merlot" easily one of OZ best.

I happened to try the Fox Creek 02 Short Row on Friday night.
Great wine, (won the best wine at the last McLaren Vale show)
it was pretty closed, and still closed the second day. needs time to come around, but you should buy some, especially at the price.
