Exporting Australian Wine

Post by precariousb »

We were just wondering who you guys use to export wine from Australia? Or who do you recommend?

We just want to send a few bottles home (United Kingdom and Spain) as gifts in the first instance, even as few as one bottle at a time.

Any tips?

Many thanks!

This must be why we don't get the good Australian wines in Europe, none of you are exporting them!

Well when it costs around $100 to send a single bottle, with suitable packaging via air mail, not many do.

we use DHL. http://www.dhl.com/en/express/shipping.html
they can supply boxes and foam inserts, customs declarations etc
as long as you specify that the goods are not for resale the costs are "reasonable".

hope this helps

cheers

I would order from some of the etailers in Europe or Uk like Berry Bros and just send it to your family, some of them stock great Aussia wines and good prices.

Agree with purchasing the wine over in the UK if you can. Dollar still riding historically high and some good prices to be had. For example wines such as Moss Wood Amy's, Vassse Felix Cabernet and Stonier's Chardonnay providing change from a tenner. Made living there bearable :)
Bartenders are supposed to have people skills. Or was it people are supposed to have bartending skills?
