I don't plan on marrying again as I'd lose the cellar. :D

I think he meant for your daughter!... I expect you just don't want to think about her dating but if she is 6 now she will be a teenager before you know it! :P

Collected from CD start of the week, fortunate to get what I ordered.
Asked Lita if I was to sacrifice one early as birthday coming up, her response was Malbec as it's an interesting wine. Make of that what you want.

Yeah I know he did. Birth vintage Wendouree would be quaint but my daughter an 07- that was skipped if I recall correctly?

I wrote a letter respectfully asking to be put on list a week or so ago. Got a form back promptly in the mail. Whoopee! Couldnt beleive it.

Fired off a mail on Monday from Sydney looking for 6 of everything. Nervously awaiting an allocation (fingers crossed) given I am bottom of the ladder. Pretty exciting. Keen to enter the much vaunted and mysterious world of Wendouree.

Thanks for everyones advice on how to get on the mailing list.

As an aside, I just found some older Wendouree offers I kept, pricing for the 1994 vintage:
Shiraz Mataro $16pb
Shiraz Malbec $18pb
Shiraz $20pb
Cab Malbec $19pb
Cab Sav $20pb and no limits it seems to any of these. Very fair then, still very fair for the 2012 pricing.

And the wait goes on........
If you had to choose between drinking great wine or winning Lotto, which would you choose - Red or White?

~4.7% inflation... interesting. (Sorry, the financial analyst in me couldn't help working that out!)

Very interesting observation Sam.
I dug out an invoice for the 1990 Wendouree vintage (my first CD purchase, $12pb).
If you look at Grange ( gee wiz, not giving pennies a leg up am I?), 1990 cost me $140.

So...2010 Wendouree was $50 (up 4.2 times in 20 years) and 2010 Grange will be around $650 (relying on a really sharp deal from the chains though) (up 4.6 times in 20 years).
Surprisingly not a lot of difference over two decades.

However the really story is 13 bottles to one...and know which camp I sit in here 8) 8)

cheers
Craig

Using RBA inflation calculations, that bottle of Wendouree should cost $21.62 and the Grange should cost $252.22 as at 2013. :?

Finally had my CC charged and it looks like I got all I ordered. Straight to the back of the cellar for a very, very long sleep.

Wild Duck Creek has arrived and now for the Rockford, Ballycroft and Noon mailers. Does it ever end?

Cheers
Ian

Maybs,
Whilst I try not to find satisfaction in the misfortune of others I am gladdened to hear that as I'm in Sydney and my cc is uncharged also. It gives me hope that I haven't missed out and it's nsw turn to be last, and I'll still get the allocation I asked for! :)

Blesso recently visited the winery and there was apparently a heap of stock still to go out. So there is hope for us yet!

Wendouree's allocation method is a complex equation that makes einsteins theory of relativity look like kindy maths lol
I reckon its totally random, im in sydney and received my full allocation yesterday, theres many factors that make up how much and what you get and i guess thats what makes wendouree so unqiue

Well it all rolled in today, I do like the nice pile of little boxes sitting in my office...might make it a feature.

Only ordered in the last fortnight...ordered about 5 cases mixed and seem to have been charged for 2. Pretty happy to get anything first time round.

Finally a credit card charge, looks like for 1 case. I order 2 mixed cases but was kind of assuming I might only get half, so actually works really well for me :D
