While I'm in here, I bought an 09 Domaine Ramonet Bienvenue Batard Montrachet today.
Don't worry, it's far from a casual purchase and very rare I spend so much on one wine, but its a specific wine for a seat at a crazy dinner Mongheads got in the pipeline next month.

Serious lack of good PN in cellar, so

3 x 2010 Pegasus Bay pinot noir

And having tried the Freeman 2010 nebbiolo, went straight back for more

6 x 2010 Freeman Altura Vineyard nebbiolo

More amazing vinous no from the Hilltops region of ACT.

Top wine .... I bought quite a bit off the internet for just over $20 bucks each (I think). Good cellaring potential with this one, although can be enjoyed now.
Cheers,

David

$$$$!!!!!!!

But a big goodonyamate, all the same! :D

Some of the best red burg's that have passed my lips came from Rousseau - '82, '85, '89 and '90 ... mostly Chambertin and/or Clos de Beze and the odd bottle of Ruchottes ('89,'90). Chambertin ans CdB best from about 20 years of age from stronger vintages .... Ruchottes and Clos de la Roche earlier drinking proposition as a rule. 2010 was a pretty good year, too, I believe.
Cheers,

David

Block 1 Riesling 2010 is $40 from the online cellar door. Where did you find it for almost half price? The Estate Riesling 2012 is $28 from CD.

Yes, I find it very hard to resist Rousseau when I see it on offer.

Try Langtons, they often have it available and tends to go for around $20ish. got a few bottles myself and keep considering whether I should get more. Certainly a long term wine.

Travis,

No not yet. Only arrived late last week so thought I would give them a week or so in the cellar to get over the travel shock.

Do post a note when you do open one up (no pressure of course!).

Nice choice of wines and an even better choice of a footy team. Caaaarn the Blues.

Do you always buy in 6 pcks Andrew?

Cheers, Travis.
