Hollick - been a tad disapointed with their wines in the last two CD visits, but certainly ok price-wise (with the exception of Ravenswood)
Bought an 09 Hollick Wrattonbully shiraz from CD for $20-25. Wouldn't say it's a 'Cracka' but thought it was worth the spend.

Off the top of my head going by my cellar:
Hoddles Creek ( Great wines at a great price, nuff said)
Head Wines (Outstanding Grenache, Blonde and Brunette.....bring on 2012) I'm not sure how easy they are to get hold of elswhere but a number of retail outlets in Adelaide stock them.
Cirillo (specifically for the Vincent Grenache....awesome wine for $20 especially the 2010. Once again bring on 2012)
Bremerton ( Good range and usually decent to good $20 wines. The Old Adam is still relatively cheap at $45ish)
Meerea Pk (Awesome wines from top to bottom. The Cheapie $15 Shiraz is usually fatastic as well)
Tulloch (2011 Semillon is a steal)
Tim Adams (Decent wines for the price but the Riesling often available for $16 is outstanding)
Dandelion (Specifically for the Riesling often available for $18.....Amazing)

I'm going to throw Peppertree into the mix. Constantly throwing up Shiraz and Semillon the quality of some expensive producers in the 20-30 dollar range. Coquun Shiraz at 55 RRP is an excellent buy as well.
People may scoff at a Tyrrell's nod, but to have 3 world class, hand-picked, single-vineyard Semillons for 23-25 bucks in Belford, HVD and Stevens beats anyone in my book. You will often get a very decent wine thrown up in the Old Winery or Lost Block ranges, but I don't bother with them anymore, given how cheap HVD Sem is  In terms of price of the uber-premiums - I have had Plenty of Vat 8/9 and Brokenwood Graveyard from recent vintages, and I think from about 2005 onwards, Vat 9 has overtaken it - and is often half the price.

So, when does the survey stop and collation occur?
Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.

Interesting Sam, in the top 16 I have 5 of the wines mentioned, in the bottom 16 I have 10 of the wines mentioned, in the middle, just 3.
A good poll which reflects wines that I may need to seek out more.
Cheers
Craig.

Re: Best QPR winery in Oz... The Official 2013 Forum Award
I guess I am obsessed with QPR, as my three heaviest represented wineries in the cellar are: Tahbilk, Hoddles and Teusner.
And after cracking a 2012 Avatar last night, those numbers are gonna get much bigger!

The first three were probably shoe-ins, no argument here.

Has anyone advised Tahbilk of their first place? Although not an official award, they would probably appreciate the advice.

Re: Best QPR winery in Oz... The Official 2013 Forum Award
shhh, telling a business that they have the best QPR around is tantamount to telling them they are undercharging for their produce

Re: Best QPR winery in Oz... The Official 2013 Forum Award
Interesting top three. Tahbilk can be tracked down in UK (not as easily as a few years ago), apparently only Hoddles Creek PN available from a single merchant & nil from Mike Press. Wines to seek out on our trip, later this year.
Re: Best QPR winery in Oz... The Official 2013 Forum Award
For what its worth I did email the thread to Tahbilk and Alister Purbrick kindly took the time to write back and say they very much appreciate the positive feedback
