Crowdfunding project to buy a Penfolds Block 42 ampoule

Post by markg »

Ok guys,

Give me your credit card details and I will deduct $1 from each of you until we have enough to buy an ampoule.
Then we shall have a vote to see where we are going to make Penfolds come to open it up.
Perhaps Outer mongolia or an active war zone ?
Of course everyone is invited to come along and try thier 1x mm of Block 42 :)
Cheers

On the assumption that it is 750ml with 168,000 people that gives us around 0.004mls each, we'd have to book out Rungrado May Day Stadium in Nth Korea which holds 150,000 (plus another 18,000 on the pitch + Peter Gago). An A380 will hold around 500 people so we need 336 flights. Plus accommodation...sounds doable. And North Korea qualifies as an obscure place.

I'll flick my CC details through. Can I be towards the front of the line as the sommelier might mess up his 0.004ml pours.

Excellent Dave,

Now we only have to raise $167,998.

Maybye while we are in North Korea we can get younger Kim to open up the Goverments cellars and drink a bit of Latour with some Blueberry wine.
Cheers

It seemed like a good idea last night after a few bottles of red were consumed.

So does that mean Mark got the required funds if they are all sold out? I'll organise my Nth Korean visa.

Maybe Sparky can arrange staff discount on the purchase? We might end up with 0.006 ml each instead.
Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.
