I've bought a bunch of swill but the highlight for August is 6x 2012 Vinteloper Odeon Pinots. It's a very special wine. I don't really understand how anything that looks so innocuous can be do delicious. It's probably one of the best Australian pinots I've ever had. Very, very good stuff.

Aside from water, the alternatives aren't great, either. Wine contains alcohol but just about everything contains something that's undesirable in one way or another. Sugar, caffeine, lactose, synthetic crap, or whatever.

Blood into Wine is a pretty cool documentary about Maynard Keenan (from Tool, amongst other bands) and his attempts to make wine in the Arizona desert.

Confirmed: 1997 Wynn's John Riddoch cabernet, and a 2009 Ocean Eight chardonnay.

I have a few 2011 rieslings but it looks like we're going to be overwhelmed by wine as it is!

It's cabernet day, so I'm taking something cabernet-ish. No idea what that will be just yet, though.
