Re: Red wine from the fridge
G'day Jeez,it's been hot here in WA and will continue in bursts for a while yet. But I still want a red wine. So I've been fridging for an hour or so some quaffable reds. Not generally anything pricey and have been using this as an opportunity to clear out a couple of lesser wines in the $20-30 ran...

I was watching a video on Yarra Valley wineries and a big mention of Lambert wines stood out.The opinion was that
the Nebbiolo was in the top 3 in Oz.Not cheap after checking cellar door price and also not many cases produced.

Fantastic to read all the comments on various brands and varieties. I know that it boils down to individual preferences, but it gives us novices an idea of what to buy and what to steer clear of. I was in our local Dans today and spotted a few bottles of 2023 drumborg on their discount shelf for what...

I dare say some of you have been doing this for a long time. But in reality, being on a learning curve i
have to broaden my horizons.

Only the St Hallett Blackwell and Petaluma Hanlin Hill. Will we see the slow demise of once long time producers? I do worry about the way the Australian wine industry is heading. We already have a grape glut with the SA riverland in trouble. I know this has happened before but i think there is an ongo...

Future wines/wineries
Hello fellow wine lovers
What wines would you like to see become more fashionable in todays world?
Myself i would like to see more Fortifieds on the market.
And also more Semillons aged or young. There's just not enough of this very
underated wine out there.

1988 Stanton and Killeen Vintage Port 18.2% Rutherglen, 100% Shiraz, vintage rated as 8.5/10 by the winemaking team I’m lucky enough to have purchased this recently at auction for $35 (yes, less than $1 per year), with a decent cork and its sediment demands a decant. Very deep black red colour, wit...

Thanks for the info.As recommended i purchased Peter Lehmann 2021 the Barossan Grenache today.First thing i noticed was the alcohol percent being 14.5%.Fairly high for a medium body wine or maybe not.
