Amen tj2! We are all here to respectfully share our thoughts and experiences, and maybe even learn a thing or two from those with more experience or knowledge than ourselves. I'm all for a civil discussion between board members which, for a large majority of the time, is insightful and adds meaning ...

Re: The Drinking Window Thread.
UPDATE: Contacted Lakes Folly and informed them of the situation. Rod from Lakes Folly was amazing and offered to replace the double magnum with 4 x 2011 Cabernet bottles as they didn't have any 1996 in their cellar. I was suitably impressed at their willingness to go above and beyond any expectatio...

Re: The Drinking Window Thread.
Travis, I guessed about the same. Corkscrew went in, cork fell apart. Still had hope though! Then that smell that all wine lovers dread! CORKED! 3L of wine straight down the drain! Opened a 1998 basket press instead which eased the pain a little though. Why pour it down the sink? Send it back for r...

Re: Wendouree mailer 2014
Being a Clare local needs some advantages especially on a awful winters day like today 4 degrees and raining, get the mailer sooner than most and have never missed on an order no matter what crayon mark I have. OK, it arrived in today's mail, on offer from the 2012 vintage Shiraz Mataro $40 (2011 $...

Re: Wendouree mailer 2014
Mailer has arrived! Now the big question, what to ask for (and what will I actually get?!) I think I am going to ask for 4 of everything except the muscat, assume I will miss out on some and hopefully end up with a mixed dozen or so. +1. For those who have tasted the muscat, do you think it is wort...

Re: Bad experience with vintec. Eurocave or Liebherr?
Hi Tony, Thanks for the reply, and I appreciate your stance on the situation. However, my issue arose after a temperature variation far exceeding the acceptable difference was observed, and the experience with the customer service process that ensued. I would be happy to talk to you via other method...

I was looking at the same time frame depending on stock availability.
The Eurocave pure medium was my most likely choice at this stage also.

Maybs, that is what I was leaning toward also. Hopefully there is a few others that are in the market also! And as for freight, I have been in contact with eurocave, and the shipping rate is a set rate for your location.

Anyone in the market for a new cabinet?
Hi everyone,
I'm in the market for a new cabinet as my current one is nearing capacity, and thought there might be a chance of getting a discount if a couple of others are looking at purchasing a new cabinet also.
At the moment I'm looking at either Eurocave or Liebherr.

Re: Cellar essentials for a new collector
I'm looking for a mix between the two, looking mostly for personal consumption, but also investing as well. I have tried a fair few aged wines and much prefer those wines over the younger ones. I mostly get my wines from Langtons, does everyone else have a go to store, or does it vary from purchase ...

Bad experience with vintec. Eurocave or Liebherr?
Hi guys, I'm new to this site and fairly new to the wine collection game. I recently purchased a Vintec single temperature unit, and after having enormous problems with the cabinets temperature regulation, and the absolute shocking customer service that ensued via Vintec, I have decided to move onto...
