I am similar to others regarding purchasing in 3-6 lots now. I have the wines I buy each vintage on mailing lists, which does limit trying/buying new wines at home. I have around 1100 bottles in the cellar and they are predominantly Shiraz and Sav in the reds, and Semillon and Reisling in the whites...

I bought some Standish today. 1 x each bottle. Haven’t heard any reviews yet, but love their wine

Just echoing the 1989 Grange thoughts. The bottle I had was the best single bottle of wine I’ve tasted. I had it around 2006.

I’ve had a number of grange tastings since then but that single bottle was wonderful.

Credit card was hit during the week. Possibly 2 x 6 packs. Will wait and see when they arrive.

No joy yet for me. I rang and was told I might get a 6 pack. Fingers crossed.

100% agree regarding the 2016 DC Grenache. I had a couple 3-4 months ago on a Rockford themed tasting night and they were superb!

There nothing wrong with being excited about a mailing list, which you’ve tried to get on, being sent out. Sometimes people are knobs, and everything is relative.

I’m assuming the 1970 Grange is dearer due to it being an anniversary wine this year, rather than the 71 which is obviously a hallmark year for grange.

I've only had Vintec brand fridges (the 40 and 110 bottle sized ones) mainly from the TWE promotions, however I'm thinking of getting a couple of large fridges. Has anyone had any experiences with Grand Cru fridges?

All other things being identical the price increase from 2013 and 2017 is 7% annually. It doesn’t appear to me to be significantly different to most of the other wineries. It’s just it started at a higher initial price than say Rockford Basket Press.
