Was a 'mystery' buy, so for $11.60 inc delivery , I can't complain too much.
Me too, but I'd already guessed what it was, so happy. Always enjoy their Cabernet!

Re: May 2025 purchases

Yes, we bought some grapes from the Valley, well, technically Eden Valley. Many growers without a water supply, really struggled, plus some early Frost problems. Luckily our grower had full access to water, and so the crop/grapes were in excellent condition. So, you are very accurate, with water rea...

Ethereal Wines a good idea, great folks, and they also direct import some great Barolo and Barbaresco brands.

. Well, for whatever its worth, I for one, and glad that I never GOT the Pinot Noir/Burgundy thing. Just not my wines or wine styles, and such extremely poor value for money, at least for me that I'm glad I missed it. Rarely had a Pinot Noir that Wows me (save for a superb Clos de Bez I enjoyed once...

Pyrazine taint was the consensus sorry. To me it was classic ladybug. I think I’m too cheap a guy to have accepted Burgundy and all its faults and become a passionate collector. Been along for the ride but glad I didn’t catch the Bug. Calling room service to open my $50 Aussie Barolo. 😊 I'll play t...

Re: Craiglee Vertical Adelaide

G'day Jamie

Sounds great to me, I'd be keen, and a great chance to try a properly aged Barolo, as I've not tried anything older than say 12 or 13 years.

Great opportunity, count me, 'in'.

Re: Craiglee Vertical Adelaide

Really happy with Craiglee. I was very impressed and the highlight a 99 Craiglee magnum that was up against good company in magnums of 89 and 93 Grange, 96 and 99 Basket Press, 98 Turkey Flat, 02 Coriole Lloyd Reserve and a few foreigners. Regular bottles of Craiglee back to 90 I thought excellent....

Great Gavin I’ll be in touch. Round up a few of the old timers.

Easy for me, don't really enjoy many Penfolds wines, well, the red wines anyway. Just so so not my style, so not my oak treatment etc.

Really like many of the whites, but such poor VFM that again, not for me!

It well eclipsed a D’Arenberg Dead Arm Shiraz 2002, which oddly, could do with more time or aeration to draw out a bit more development. Loaded with berries and variations of spice and volatile lift. Acidity is long and spiky~a 20 year old wine that is in good structural shape and the rest of the c...
