You can also sell it on ebay through an agent that has a liquor license. Obviously adds to the ebay fees but probably still a heap cheaper than Langtons.

That's really sad. Really a reason for bringing in screw caps. Expensive to buy, cellar for 10 years and then find it corked!

What won the prize?

Cellar Press

Received the Vintage Cellars Cellar Press yesterday. Interesting to note that the Grange is less than the originally expected $600 a bottle . A bargain at $900 for 2! But back to real life, there's plenty of wines I'm not familiar with here and wondering if any of the more experienced/knowlegable fo...

Molly Morgan Semillon

Does anyone have opinions on the Molly Morgan Woodpecker Semillon 2005. I'm looking to add some HV Semillon to my cellar but have no experience with this one.

thanks,

How does the word "only" and "40 or 50 cases" fit in the same sentance?? More than half that and id be talking about POST wife days, not pre wife days I suppose cause I'd been talking to some house designers about plans for our new house. When I mentioned I wanted a storage room...

Think the 04's now been released. It's selling at DMs for under $10/bottle and not even on special. I also haven't heard anything about how good this one is compared to previous years.

- Houghton White Classic (aka HWB) Generally sees 5 years easily and gathers complexity over that period - Riesling (too many to mention) - Hunter Semillon (e.g. Mc Williams Elizabeth) Good point. I've found my older HWB to be what I feel to be overly woodie and I've tended to avoid them (think it ...

He might need to cut out Jamiesons Run and Koonunga Hill in the next version though . Just interested in people's views. I haven't tried anything beyond the 2000 KH (have some 2002 & 2003 in cellar) - I gather you're not a big fan of the latest drops? Drop in quality? Got me worried now, might ...

Thought I should (belatedly) introduce myself after making two lengthy posts already (woo-hoo - 2 posts!) Mid (alright late) 30's with a wine collection stretching back to my pre-child/pre-wife/pre-mortage days in my early 20's. Only around 40-50 cases but then I don't drink that much wine - certain...

Thanks Gents, very helpful. RB - I generally look for something that will take about 5-10yrs. I know that sounds a big ask but I have had a lot of success in the past, mainly by just being really picky about what I cellar, or by cellaring reliable wines - mainly Penfolds. Underwraps, we're a pair o...

I noticed this thread topic and it immediately took me back a week when I opened exactly this vintage 389. In my younger (and wealthier pre-kid days) I'd bought a couple of cases of it for my collection and thought it a good time to try. Fantastic. Actually bloody fantastic. My wife (not a real wine...
