G'day
This is an annual buy for me, along with their Millard and Reserve shiraz. This is the least expensive in the range and is reliably good everyday drinking. From a cooler vintage in the Swan Valley.
Purple black in colour. Rich (no pun intended) nose with cedary oak, dark plummy fruits, cocoa powder, and cloves on the nose. The palate has more ripe plummy fruit up front, with blueberry and more chocolate and clove / baking spices alongside. Supportive acid and tannins are starting to integrate (while retaining grip). Medium to long finish.
Can't beat this for value for money.
Cheers
Allan
