Pale yellow in colour, belying its age.
Quite a big nose, with lots of peach / stone fruits, fig, and toasty oak. The palate shows more lemon pith / citrus than stone fruits, and is equally substantial. The lemon pith (almost cordial-like) extends to the back palate. The wine is full and slightly astringent on the finish.
Although this is showing obvious development, I would not have picked this for a 2017. Regardless, I doubt it will improve but hopefully will hold a little longer (so I can drink the rest of mine).
Cheers
Allan
