TN: Forest Hill Block 5 Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Post by Waiters Friend »

G'day

Deep purple in the glass, with magenta rim. Powerful nose with blackcurrant, cassis, graphite, and cedary oak. The palate is rich, with lashings of juicy dark and red fruits over noticeable oak. Tannins are drying and grippy (without taking much away from the juiciness of the fruits), and acid in the background as a result.

Considerable length and an excellent finish, with the dark fruits extending all the way to the esophagus.

This has plenty of time ahead of it, but I am really enjoying the exuberance of the fruit now.

Cheers
Allan

Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.
