Rockford Cake

Post by dave vino »

Now I'm not posting this for wishes. This is all about the cake. I gave her a couple of photos of the old Rockford Press and some bottle pics...this is the result.

The detail from the wine stains to the discolouration and texture of the wood is amazing. I am too scared to eat it!

I am lucky that Sara lives close by as we are both in a Local Area of Concern...so I couldn't go outside a 5km radius. Very talented lady.

I sent it to Rockford and they loved it.

Very talented lady. Hope it tastes as good as it looks....

Happy 50th Dave. Such a shame you are locked down. Enjoy a nice Basket Press with the cake.

Cheers
Ian
If you had to choose between drinking great wine or winning Lotto, which would you choose - Red or White?

Thanks all, and I totally agree with your sentiments. I have a Zoom with the rest of the family tonight so will do the cutting honours then.

Happy birthday Dave.

The cake is brilliant - incredible.
I appreciate all forms of alcohol, as long as its wine.

Happy Birthday, and many happy returns of the day. The "cake", if you can call it that, looks lovely. I would think that the first cut of the cake would be difficult.

Dave, did you send Rockford a photo. Would be a shoe in for an entry into The Rag.
Happy birthday by the way...ahh 50, at the top of the hill. From here forward everyday is a bonus, as time marches on and health concerns arise, I am increasingly treating every day so.
Cheers Craig

Looking forward to getting out of lockdown and back into some great tastings and food.
