I had a glass of this at a work wine tasting and was blown away by how good it is. I'm not really good at saying what the taste was so i'll copy the thoughts from the Elliot website.
"Brilliant straw gold in colour, with a bouquet of apricot, citrus peel and lemon blossom. This combines with a beautifully lush palate of concentrated citrus. A dessert-style wine equally placed to accompany savoury starters or canapés."
Any of you had it.?
Elliot Rocke Estate 2007 Ice Wine Semillon.
Yep I've tried it too
Been a while since I tried this. My memory of my general impression was that I'd happily try it again, but I didn't absolutely love it.
Maybe I found it a bit bitter sweet - bit like a Granny Smith apple is. (One of the real experts on this forum might say it's a higher than normal acid level dessert wine.) Pleasently non-cloying, though. I have a bottle or two left and might try it again and let you know.
