Torzi Matthews Frost Dodger Shiraz 2005

Post by Leigh »

Torzi Matthews Frost Dodger Shiraz 2005 - Just purchased 6 bottles of this wine. Amazing full flavoured rich, smooth wine. Sensational value for $30 if you can still get it for that price. Aftertaste of peppermint licorice and spice. You will not get better for the price.

Cheers

My thoughts on the wine as well very smooth and rich. I grabed a bottle from the local Dans a few months back and shared with my FIL and he was really impressed as well. Since getting that first bottle (covered in dust) only one other bottle has been sold and that was my BIL.

The FIL must has come across this post in a google search because he rang me this morning and told me to pick up 2 bottles for him as they are still (hopefully) $30.

I've had it a couple of times and I quite agree. It's a great wine and very good value. The winemaker evidently handles the appassimento method very well. I think I bought mine from Gavin, but it seems to be sold out. I Guess the '06 should be released pretty soon?

Hello

You are correct in all regards, excellent wine indeed, and we are sold out.

the 2006 vintage is due for release June 1st, and we will, of course, be stocking and promoting it, we are great fans of the wine, and the wine producer!
regards

Gavin Trott
