Wanted: a bottle of 1947 Seppelt Para port

Post by bacchaebabe »

Hi everyone,

just wondering if anyone has a spare bottle of this they wouldn't mind parting with for a good cause.

My uncle's 60th is coming up and I had said I'd bring something special. At the time there seemed to be cases (almost) of it on Langtons especially in Melbourne but I missed the last Sydney auction and now there's none at the current Melbourne one and it's in a couple of weeks and I'm empty handed.

No problems paying current auction prices so if anyone was thinking of selling one and wants to avoid auction costs, it would be a win win situation. Happy to pick up from anywhere in Sydney or cover postage from anywhere else.

PM me if you can help.

Thanks,
Cheers,
Kris

Kris, have you tried emailing Seppelt's? I'm sure they'd still have stocks.

I have spoken to Seppelts and they ddin't have any but I could try again. Thanks re stirlings. They do seem to have quite a few available but does anyone know how long their shipping taks to Sydney. The dinner is on the 15th and the auction ends on the 12th. I guess I can ring them to find out.

Thanks for the lead.
Cheers,
Kris
