Melbourne End of Covid Auswine Dinner

Post by mychurch »

Folks

It’s been miserable the last 6 months. Things seem to be getting better and I wonder if we could and should have a get together wine dinner ? I think it’s been hinted at on other threads, but I think it’s worth creating a specific thread.

I personally think it we should and as it’s a celebration, I think it should be a ‘bring a great bottle’ theme.

Obviously some on the board will have already arranged their own events, but I hope we can manage a forum tasting

An excellent idea, Cameron.

If I wasn't sequestered in WA (and unable to return if I travelled) I would be tempted to jump on a plane. It's been a while since I have travelled (for work) to join interstate offline dinners - there's been some classics over the years, in several capital cities.

Melbournians - a great opportunity - go for it.

Cheers

Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.

I'd love to attend something like that but alas I'm stuck in Singapore...this is going to be the first year in more than a decade whereby I have not made it home. A strange feeling.

Hey Cameron,

Did you end up finding enough people for this? I would be very keen! Based in Melbourne northern suburbs but happy to move within reason.

Jan

No take up on this. I’m in Fairfield, so it should be possible to meet up in the area.

Hey Cameron, may want to update your location on the forum settings, I felt Rotterdam was a touch too far for a wine tasting. :D Let us know if you're ever in Sydney, will see if we can organise something!

I’ve grudgingly updated my location to Melbourne, although it does not feel like home...it’s been about 10 years since I left Rotterdam, but it’s still my favourite city. Don’t think i’ll get back for a visit this year at all, which means I’ll miss Eurovision ☹️

Cameron,

I would normally be interested in this, but I have moved to Adelaide over the Xmas/New Year period.
