Hi Ian,

I also partook of the Caillard deal - as you said, too good to pass up.

After watching Erin's videos I went in for some Corymbia cabernet (also available from Gavin I believe), which sounds delicious. Thinking about trying to find some Nocturne also.

I also tracked down some of the 2018 Corymbia Cabernet this morning (2019 out now). They do make it sound very enticing on that YouTube clip. Thanks for the heads up.

Cheers
Ian
If you had to choose between drinking great wine or winning Lotto, which would you choose - Red or White?

DONNALUCE 2019 [Poggio Le Volpi] 75cl × 1
SRU 2015 [Monchiero Carbone] 75cl × 1
75cl
MONTEFALCO ROSSO 2012 [Signae] 75cl × 1
75cl
ROMA 2018 [Poggio Le Volpi] 75cl × 1

Mixed four here...the monchiero is a roero, something I've never had before. The donnaluce is a blend of Chardonnay, malvasia and Greco. I know little of Montefalco ...and the Roma is montepulciano, syrah and cesanese.

I dont quite believe these:
2 * 1956 Penfolds 5 Star Club Tawny
1 * 1954 Hardys Show Tawny

So I signed up for Wickmans last week, logged in and tried the software out on a few items. First bids were on things that you were sure others would then bid on...Not quite. I actually had spotted a few others I really was interested in, but forgot to sign in tonight.

Nothing wrong with an old Tawny - they do last for a long time and are more forgiving of bad storage than other non fortified styles - but they dont improve in the bottle. Suppose it will impress the mother in Law at Xmas.
This is my church, this is where I heal my hurts.

still massively overstocked but:
1 x Bollinger PN VZ 15
12 x 2018 Wynn's Black Label cabernet
6 x Wynn's Black label Shiraz

need to make more space to buy the 2019 Kumeu River wines...... apparently best ever.

Lashed out and bought a box of 2019 Pichon Lalande. Could be a smokey from this vintage. Now I have to wait!
