Any Trekkies on this forum?

Apparently, it all sold out in less than 12 hours.

Not quite a Trekkie but a fan of the original franchise. Good luck to the buyers of the wines, may the force be with them. Wait, did I just conflate the Trekkie and Star Wars franchises?

Would love to know if Paramount provided permission to use Star Trek.

Paramount sold off the rights to the Star Trek TV series to CBS in 2005. Apparently, CBS has been trying to make a Chateau Picard wine for many years but couldn't because there's a real Chateau Picard in Bordeaux. They've done a deal with the winery to make it happen. The Special Reserve United Federation of Planets wine is made in Sonoma.

Not a Trekkie but a big fan of Captain Kirk. Learnt a lot from him in the early episodes. His management from the flight deck of the Enterprise years ahead of its time in terms of crew resource management. The original script writer, Gene Roddenberry, was an experienced military ( heavy bomber WW2 ) and civilian pilot ( Pan Am ) who unfortunately, just happened to crash a lot ( 3 times ).

His capacity shrinking, high stress scenarios in the first run of Star Trek, golden lessons in crisis leadership ( through Capt Kirk ).

Will hunt a bottle and toast Eugene Roddenberry.

Interesting stuff about things I didn't know, Gene Roddenberry and his two crashes, once as a military pilot and another as a Pan Am pilot, an airline I remember taking as a child. I got to go to the cockpit and was given a Pan Am lapel pin.

Sorry...I should've been a bit more descriptive..

The Chateau Picard in the TV Trailer (where the TV Show will take place) is in Burgundy...and the bottles they show in the TV show are clearly Bourgogne...
