That's cool, and also kind of annoying.
The few bottles that come to Oz never see a retail shelf.

Luckily you can find at certain Sydney wine bars to get a fix. Although it's a fair bit more than 30 euro!

Mate, when I was browsing and saw stacks of them I did a double take. So wrong. They didn't have any of his big ticket Chardonnay or savagnin, though they did have a Chardonnay/savagnin blend. But yeah, still cool/irritating!

Must be about time to go get another fix (since I can't make this offline)

Scott - You mean like his Mon Pere?

That one on top, the Chalasses Marnes Bleus..I think is one of his more expensive ones.....Completely jealous...

OK, will keep the first post updated, Andrew, you're in!!

Thanks for adding me Tim. Excited to attend.

As I'm currently on holidays and won't likely be able to procure some Jura by the 27th I'll likely be in the 'regional stars' category. Just to clarify, does this mean wine from a region where the wine type is well known and an excellent example from a particular region, ie Coonawarra Cab or should it focus more on up and coming regions that may be less mainstream?

I was thinking the mon pere or vielle vignes but I think you are right, that marnes bleus is up there and also a straight savagnin. Duh Scott.

I stood there for about 10 minutes weighing up whether it was worthwhile getting a mixed case and just paying the duty haha. The only thing that stopped me was the hassle of transport. But yeah it was pretty crazy.

Hey andrew, no rules on the theme, kept it general in the hope of getting a bit of variety bookending the Jura goodness. We'll have plenty of whites and lighter/medium bodied reds in the Jura luneup, so maybe think outside those lines and just bring anything you think is interesting and worthy of being called any kind of regional star?

I got a pair but I'll probably bring the 2013 Les Chamois du Paradis as I haven't tried that vineyard before.

I may be out for this. Have to fly to Melbourne on Tuesday, coming back on Wednesday am not sure I'll be able to get there at a reasonable hour. (or have an easy way to get my wines (don't want to leave in the car in long term)

Dave,

Drop your wines off at mine or Gregs place (did he confirm if he's coming?) on Monday after work. I can bring them for you...

Woohoo!

My 2 Philippe Bornard's arrived so I'm ready to go for Wednesday. Can't wait to try these...

Thinking of bringing also a red regional star to counter all the whites... just not sure... any suggestions on region or type to match/counter these?
I've got some young Malbec's or Carmenere's I bought whilst in Chile last summer, any interest?

Yes Greg's coming last I heard. What, a Jura tasting without Greg?

Deejay, not tried any decent Chileans for a while, so there's interest here.... :D

P.S Never heard back from Hacker, assume he's off golfing on Wed as well?? Could be a spot available if anyone else is interested.

Monday is a Public Holiday and I'm technically supposed to be on AL on Tuesday so am not sure I can get them to either easily. Will see how I go.

Might be a casual offline on the weekend, who knows.

OK fantastic. At this stage put me down for a

- 2007 Collector Reserve Shiraz

and to get things started I'll also bring a

- 2004 Arras Grand Vintage sparkling

Cheers

My apologies guys but I've just had a client advise he's flying up to Sydney tomorrow for the day and night re work. As the earliest I can see myself getting to the restaurant is 9pm, I will have to pull out.
