Thanks! Still a slim chance to make it- will see how I pull up.

I'll see if I can bring a Domaine de la Romanée-Conti

How we going for wines Ozzie?

I can bring a couple of Pinot Noir's or a Pinot and Chard? (not Hoddles!)

Also, are the wines served blind?

Cheers

Unfortunately I now have a 50th that I have to go to Fri week, so I and +1 are going to be a no show. Hopefully next time. Apologies for relatively late change, hope there are replacements on the bench!

You previously indicated you'd bring Pinot. We'll go with that as we already have enough chard. We'll taste them blind as it's more fun that way.

No problem mjs.

We've got 2 or possibly 3 spare seats now. Would anyone else like to join us or bring a +1? The cost of entry is $85 and a bottle of Pinot. In return, you get a fun filled night of great food, wine and company.

Only a few more days to go! If anyone else is interested in joining us or bringing a +1, please let me know. Diddy, can you let me know by midday on the 19th if you're feeling well enough to come?

Scopri has confirmed our 4 course banquet and exclusive table in the private dining room upstairs. The first course will be paired with our three chards, followed by pinots for the remaining three courses. A separate vegetarian meal will be available for gggaz. We're booked under the name 'Auswine' for a 7pm start.

If you're taking a tram from the city, use the route 96 tram and get off at stop #16 (Kay St), which is conveniently located less than 50m from Scopri.

What to Bring
Ozzie W + 1 -- Pinot + Pinot + Backup Pinot
Rory -- Pinot
Diddy -- Pinot + Backup Pinot
conformistepete + 1 -- Chard + Pinot
alexc92 -- Pinot + Pinot
Michael McNally -- Chard + Backup Pinot
Franco -- Pinot
gggaz -- Pinot + Chard

Just finished playing a little bit of Tetris with wine boxes at my off-site storage. Thank goodness for CellarTracker, otherwise it could have taken me hours to find the bottles. My Pinots are ready to go!

Looking very forward to a great night on Friday.

Still a couple seats left if anyone would like to join us. Don't be shy!

Hi gents,

Just confirming,

7pm start?
Are we serving the wines blind?

Look forward to seeing everyone. I've got a pinot and I'll also bring a back up which no doubt we will open.
See everyone tomorrow night.

Cheers

I had an early start last night and had Pinot and Chardonnay with a pine mushroom pasta.

I have also packed a bottle of bubbles to start the evening.

Unfortunately, Diddy won't be joining us tonight. His surgery went well, but he needs more time to recover.

Any takers for the 3 spare seats?

My +1 just pulled out due to unforeseen circumstances.

We're down to 8 people. 4 spots now available.

Scopri have asked me to finalise numbers as they're fully booked tonight. So 8 people it is. Rather than the room upstairs as originally planned, we're being relocated to a room downstairs. See you all in a few hours.

Below is the line up of wines we had. What a fantastic and diverse list we ended up with! A sparkling to start with to cleanse our palates. Followed by 3 Chards. Followed by 11 Pinots. Guys, please let me know if there's any errors here. My knowledge of "Old World" wines is not very good, so I may have recorded/spelled something incorrectly.

The food at Scopri was simply awesome and paired so well with our wines. The Burgundy glasses they provided were also good.

It was difficult to choose WOTN as the standard of all the wines was very high.

2009 Heemskerk Chardonnay Pinot Noir Coal River Valley Tasmania

Chard 1 of 3: 2011 Stefano Lubiabna Chardonnay - White WOTN.
Chard 2 of 3: 2008 Jean Bourdy Cotes Du Jura
Chard 3 of 3: 2012 Bourgogne Cotes d'Auxerre Gueules de Loup Goisot

Pinot 1 of 11: 2006 Hoddles Creek Estate Yarra Valley
Pinot 2 of 11: 2004 Paringa Estate Mornington Peninsula - Red WOTN (tie)
Pinot 3 of 11: 2010 Moorooduc Estate McIntyre Mornington Peninsula
Pinot 4 of 11: 2013 Yabby Lake Single Block No 1 Mornington Peninsula
Pinot 5 of 11: 2012 Bernhard Huber Pinot Noir Germany
Pinot 6 of 11: 2012 Geantet-Pansiot Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Poissenot - Red WOTN (tie)
Pinot 7 of 11: 2009 Copain Kiser "En Bas" Anderson Valley California
Pinot 8 of 11: 2009 Muddy Water Slowhand Waipara
Pinot 9 of 11: 2009 Felton Road Cornish Point Central Otago
Pinot 10 of 11: 2012 The Wanderer Yarra Valley
Pinot 11 of 11: 2012 Riorret "The Abbey" Yarra Valley
