Six pack of St Hallett Blackwell 2012
Six pack of Voyager Estate Chardonnay 2011
Mixed bag of Lafarge 2012 Volneys including Chenes and Mitanes. They made only 20% due to hail damage, but what there was is supposedly pretty good.
Some Selosse champagne.

hi CNR, saw yr comment on the other forum, cellar tracker.
Not sure I mark too hard, I think the Hoddles 1er 2013 is a very good wine, but in terms of world-wide quality, it sits at about 88 points for me. If you need some reference point on this, 88pts for me is a good to very good village Burg (which costs twice the price of Hoddles in Aus). A good to great 1er cru Burg can get up to 97 points in general from me (of course, there are 1er cru Burgs that cost many $thousands a bottle, and I am not including them) but the average top quality 1er Burg is 6 times the price of the Hoddles Creek!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was drunk with an Escarpment Kupe 2009 (ordinary stuff, maybe 83points) and a 96 Trapet Chambertin, which really put the Hoddles into the land of reality. There was really no comparison between the Hoddles and the Trapet, but nor should there be, given the price differential. I saw some of the critics ridiculous scores, if the Hoddles was 95 or 96 points, then side-by-side, you would have to give the Trapet about 110!!!!!

I'm sure you'll agree that comparing a 96 Chambertin with a 2013 Hoddles 1er is a bit ridiculous, not just on price, but mainly in terms of age. I've not tried the Hoddles yet, but comparing the Hoddles with a 2012/13 ~$80AU Burgundy in 10 years time will be the true test.
Would be fascinating to get the Kupe in there too in 10 years, although I find Kupe very vintage dependent, and not just good vintage=good Kupe. But not my favourite Kiwi pinot by a long shot.
But fair enough to point out scoring in a worldwide context, best to leave some margin for future experiences!
Cheers
Tim

Also picked up a few more. I assume others have tried it. What's the consensus on quality and age-ability?

I am of one mind with ads_11 and some 2010 barolos for me too:
2 x 2010 Vietti Ravera
2 x 2010 Bartolo Mascarello
And another bottle of a white burgundy that I have drunk previously and thought was remarkably good for this producer, which I find usually produces pleasant well made wines, but without much power:
1 x 2010 Blain-Gagnard Batard Montrachet

Nice!!!!!! IMO, B-G's Batard is the most under-rated and under-priced Grand Cru white in Burgundy. Wonderful wine, and 2010 is an absolute stellar year.
Re: February purchases
Agree completely on the comparison Tim.
But as it turned out, three of us met for dinner upon my return home, each bring a bottle. My Kiwi mate brought the Kupe, and a Belgian the Trapet. I was curious about the Hoddles, given the reviews, so I brought that along. So, I guess it was pure co-incidence these wines were consumed together, not a contrived tasting. But as I said, I reckon the Hoddles is an absolute beauty, and FWIW, the others agreed. The Kiwi said the Kupe might have been slightly scalped so maybe it should normally be a better wine than that.

Yep. I reckon it's definitely cellar worthy. You never know... I might bring one out at a future offline.
