After being impressed with the 1999 and 2000, I had high expectations, especially when the vintage was so highly touted. At 16% alcohol, it is simply enormous - too much so. Fried nostrils are testimony to its similarity to methylated spirits. Sincerely hope that it settles down, but don't expect it to happen for many years to come, if ever. Wouldnt be surprised if RPJ loves it! Difficult to rate: 15.8/20

Agree entirely. For me the 01 Apricot was just over the top and borderline undrinkable. The 00 is lovely.
