Thanks All!!!
Mornington Peninsula Weekend Away
Re: Mornington Peninsula Weekend Away
My wife and I were down there in March. We only visited a couple of cellar doors but I found the people at Yabby Lake to be very helpful and interesting once they figured out we were genuinely interested. It probably also helped that we got there before the lunch rush. The view from there is lovely and the restaurant supposed to be quite good.

If you are near Red Hill, go and see David at Eldridge Estate. Excellent gamay, fine chardonnay. Also a maker of pinot noir and a 'PTG' blend of pinot and gamay which is really good drinking. A pretty spot too.

Hi Tim,
You be down my neck of the woods then.
Lunch Saturday choices could be Yabby Lake as already stated, need to book. Foxeys Hangout is possibly the best for a great atmosphere lunch, can't book. Most of the decent restaurants would be booked out already for dinner Saturday night (Paringa Estate, Ten Minutes, Johnny Ripe, Port Phillip), you could try them for lunch.
Port Phillip Estate is a cellar door worthwhile as you get those wines and Kooyong Estate in one go.
David at Eldridge is a great bloke, as is Nat White at Main Ridge Estate (quite the local legend).
Then you can come have a coffee with me on Sunday down the road from Epicurean (Cellar & Pantry - shameless plug).
