I've picked up what should be a bit of a bargain with a case of the 2002 Houghton Glaststones Frankland River Shiraz for $210. However, I'm struggling to find much in the way of reviews on this particular vintage of the wine. There seems to have been plenty written on the '01 and the '03, but nothing on the '02.
Has anyone tasted the '02 or seen any reviews of the wine?

There is one in the Jeremy Oliver site if you are a subscriber.

Well have had the 2001 many times and it was pretty good stuff but not exceptional (though rated by some as not good). The 02 is rated a little better (don't know why the vintage rating of 02 was not as good). So it should be at worst a very good drop IMO.

I'm pretty sure I've had this and it was excellent.

This is a great wine isn't it. I think this really opened my eyes to the spicier cool climate shirazes many years ago. Hmmm, haven't tried one in a few years. How is it getting along ross?
