I can just imagine it now, at the next offline we will all be drinking from straws.

Actually the concept is sound as it is based on the Venturi system which is used a lot in wineries for thorough mixing of fining agents like bentonite, except this introduces air, similar to what we do when we suck air through our pursed lips to mix with wine in our mouths without dribbling down our chins.

I thought the name was a tad misleading though.

At AUD$33 I will be giving it a miss, maybe if it was $20 I'd give it a go.[/url]

Straws.

One would, of course, have to use a Riedel,at minimum a Spiegelau, straw of the correct style for the particular wine.

Since my original post, Riedel commenced working on the Riedel Prism range with built-in straws.

They hit the shelves in David Jones 5 minutes ago!

Straw!?! this is clearly a wine integration/differentiation incrementaliser based on Euclidean thermodynamic principles and we should be grateful that the brilliance & philanthropy of its inventor allows us to participate in this innovation for a paltry few dollars!

Now that's exactly what I thought when I saw the idea myself!

Quite brilliant, someone has found a way to charge $30+ for a straw, with a hole in it too!! - brilliant.

This is all too funny!! Now will someone please tell me when they succumb to temptation enough to see if it works so we can all forget it exists. Made my afternoon!!
