As Easter approaches many of us i'm sure plan to open those really nice bottles that we tend to leave for special occasions.
For us Easter Sunday/ and lunch is always an important day and warrants good food and very good wine.
I will be providing a '96 Bin389 and Coriole LLoyd 2004. [Have not tried either vintages]
So...what about the rest of you guys???

Well, the Barossa vintage festival is on over Easter, so I imagine tasting a few hundred BV wines, and savouring local produce.
We have a 1993 Peter Lehmann reserve riesling to go with the Barramundi on Good Friday of course.
And a 1996 Croser sparkling pinot noir chardonnay magnum to keep boredom away.

Well for me, I will be in Margaret River so my home stock will be safe (for now

). Easter Saturday am going to MossWood so you guess what I'll be drinking there.
Others will be:
Cullen
Grayln
Woodlands
Willespie
Vasse Felix
Cape Mentelle
Leeuwin Estate
Voyager
Xanadu
Have missed out a few, but will be drinking plenty of great stuff over Easter break. Probably bring homes to drink with dinner will be Voyager Cab/Merl, Brown Hill Shiraz, Willespie CabSav or hopefully something else I get surprised with. Hey thanks for the reminder, only 7 sleeps to go........

Heading north for the annual trip to the Monte Bello Islands. Admission is a minimum bottle of good red per night per person. Undecided as yet what will make it into the tackle box.

Ross, hadn't given it any thought but I am definitely interested in how the 1996 Bin 389 is doing. I have a small number of assorted '96 wines and I have been reluctant to open them. Perhaps the Koonunga will be the first.
Cheers..................Mahmoud

I was going to say delicious New Zealand Sauvignon, because Craig is on this thread
I actually intend breaking open a Cullen white Bord blend and maybe a Ch Langoa Barton 03.
On an aside, I was surprised to discover that the Australian and NZ soccer teams don't play in the same World Cup qualification group. How very queer.

Yeah I was thinking about what to take down, but I kind of like the idea of picking up fresh bottles from a winery I'm yet to decide on. So many to choose from. Oh well, just finishing work now to head off to a MossWood cab tasting at Matilda Bay. Finishes at 7 so worth a look if you’re near by Perthites.

They used to - Australia left 'Oceana' to join the 'Asia' confederation.

Had an 85 last Xmas and it was as fresh as a daisy (or as fresh as a 25 year old daisy could be). Remarkable.
