TN: Pewsey Vale Riesling 2003

This was the first (recent) vintage of PV under screwcap (to my knowledge, certainly my 2002s and before are cork sealed), and it’s all the better for it. Yellow with no hint of heading for gold colour, no kero and fresh as they come. Lovely lemon and .... more lemon, it’s beautiful and clean. Long and clean acid finish, and this is just delightful. Excuse the hyperbole (and yes, I am relatively sober, have most of the bottle left), but I am impressed by this wine, and I drink different vintages of PV regularly. The term ‘mouth-watering’ leaps to mind.
I suppose this raises the perennial question of when is best to drink Australian Riesling. Any thoughts?
