Disappointing experience with Regional Wines NZ

So after canvasing opinions about what NZ Pinot to buy on this forum a week or so ago.. I duly ordered my wine last Wednesday with regionalwines.co.nz and even spoke to the people stating I would be in Queenstown on Saturday - leaving Wednesday.

Could I get the wines for Saturday so I could drink some of the pinot .."not a problem' was the reply

...unfortunately even with several phone calls the wine never arrived (they only got round to processing the order on Monday)

However the shining light was Jean from otagowines.co.nz .. I called her at 4:30pm on Tuesday and the wines were in Queenstown by 9am the next morning .. just before I flew out :D .. A big thanks to Jean.

I have had very good experiences with caros.co.nz and now otagowines.co.nz .. so will be ordering from them in the future.

Every cloud has a silver lining .. and luckily for me that was otagowines :D

I've always had excellent service from otagowines.com and second your recommendation.
Pity about your experience with Regional.
Usually it is the couriers who stuff things up.

Yep Jean was great .. she was literally walking out the door to go to the couriers when I phoned ... great service.

I mentioned that you recommended a number of pinots including Lowburn Ferry, which she was very happy about, although she said she couldn't remember whether she had sent you the 07 to try.

I ended up buying Felton Rd Calvert 07, Rockburn 07, Rippon 06 and Lowburn Ferry '06

Cheers and have a great chrimbo
