Monday night - two favourites revisited

Post by Guest »

With nothing much else to do after the Chapelle show finished on the box, I opened a bottle of 1998 Chapel Hill Cabernet Sauvignon and watched my video of "The Usual Suspects".

In two-and-a-half years little has changed. The colour is still a deep, clear dark red with the slightest hint of purple. Primary fruit characters of cassis, chocolate, black cherry & mint leap from the glass, supported by savoury French oak. The elegant palate is textbook "donut" shaped in profile, with solid black cherry/cassis fruit on entry, falling away mid-palate, and lingering fine tannins driving a long finish. More breathing coaxes out some mocha and tar, concentrated tomato and beetroot characters, hinting of more complexity to come.

And I still love the movie too...

Merry Xmas folks,
n4sir

ps. Is Gavin on holidays? Until now I've been waiting for my account to be activated, but still no word.

No I'm not, but I didn't receive anything about your account?

System error.
