1998 Kilikanoon Riesling

Not sure which block name this bottle is, but I recently found it in the specials bin of my local vino store for $12.

Mid gold colour
Pleasant aged character on the nose
Palate left me a little underwhelmed (when tasted without food). Seemed to lack a little palate intensity but otherwise all was in nice balance. Interestingly the wine became much more enjoyable when drunk with food. The flavour seemed to jump up to a new level. from here I enjoyed it immensly. Lovely stuff. Next day I tried the remainder without food and had the same experience as when first tried without food.
