In the Langtons price guide there are 2 entries for Wynns cabernet 1954, as follows...
- WYNNS COONAWARRA ESTATE Cabernet Sauvignon, Coonawarra 1954 Bottle $90-140 $114 2006
- WYNNS COONAWARRA ESTATE Cabernet, Coonawarra 1954 Bottle $280-400 $393 2007
...can anybody enlighten me as to the difference? which is "black label"? which is "better"?

Langtons price guide ain't perfect, there's lots of duplications and errors.

The 1954 was the very first Wynns Coonawarra Cabernet released, made by Norm Walker under ownership of David Wynn. The first Langtons entry giving a price in 2007 of $393 is the more current, although if a bottle of '54 in very good condition was to come onto the secondary market today, it would sell for much more. Very rare to find any bottles of Wynns that old, let alone bottles in decent condition.

The "black label" only came in sometime mid '60's, prior to that it was a white label. So both entries are for the same wine, though most likely for ullaged bottles sold at different times. 8)
