Following the debate, this week on the subject above, thought I would give my ten cents worth …… Hopefully this will be of some interest and benefit to a few in the forum!!

For the past 3+ years I have been using a simple formatted database / software (downloaded) called "The Uncorked Cellar". This is an Australian developed tool, with a huge updated AU data base, as well comprehensive databases of other countries are available.

You end up with a very clear set of cellar pages with the data YOU want, sorted as YOU want!

I've now got the paid version, as reasonably impressed, however, if at all interested give the DEMO a try.

Suggest go to: http://www.uncork.biz/ ( this is NOT SPAM , .. (as one suggested !!) have a look if interested)

The question: any better ones out there let us all know, also comments on this one appreciated.

Regards Geoff

PS: With the latest version, once you get your wines in, all the winery web sites are instantly linked in, very useful.

Yeah, Uncorked and Winebase are both Ok, both Aus developed and with their own style and features. I personally don't like either of their interfaces, one reason I built my own.

To give myself a plug, my RB Cellar Master software is still free and does all the basic stuff and more without some of the bells and whistles of the commercial packages, mostly because I don't find them useful. As far as I can tell my Wine Explorer interface is not available anywhere else.

You can even dowload a free MS Access runtime now, so don't need full Acess installed. Only for Windows, not Mac.
