Drank a 99 Rockford BP shiraz last night and was a little dissapointed !
It is a shrinking violet ! Lovely aromas , in fact I could smell it all night, but the fruit has faded and there seems to be quite an imballance with the acid level as it ages !
Has anyone tried it lately ????
Ive had many BP's well after 10 years that are hanging in there well , but the 99 seems past its best optimum drinking window !

look forward to hearing from any onethat has drank one lately ?

18 months ago for what it is worth it was barely opening. Marked it down as a sleeper and my last two bottles are buried somewhere actually.

cheers

Sounds like a dodgy bottle. I have drunk four of my BP 99s in the last 12 months with consistent results. Great shiraz and certainly the fruit has not faded , high acid but super balance and complexity and still needing time. I felt it would not peak for my tastes before 2010 and tucked the rest of my case away.

Hope that helps you to try another at some stage!
