Oddly enough two of my passions merge in this story I found on a sailing forum.


French send wine by sailboat

French vineyard owners are returning to a slower pace of life by starting to export their wine by sailing boat - a method last used in the 1800s - to reduce their carbon footprint.

John, your timing's all wrong. "Talk Like A Pirate Day" isn't until September 19th! (I kid you not).

About the same time the boat containing the next shipment of Burgundy will arrive! :)

BTW, 99.9999999% of Australian wine is sent to Europe by boat, saving a gazillion tons of CO2. And a few pennies.
