Has impressed most that have come across it but I found it one of the crowd at the Roadshow. A caveat that the lack of appropriate time, glassware and food doesn't help. Slight amount of varnish on the nose. Still not sure if it is merely bottle variation.
On the other hand, the 05 cabernet was excellent from Majella on the two occasions that I have tried it.
By the way, you seem to ask about a lot of wines and tasting notes etc. Considering the wines you ask about, any chance on you giving some brief impressions of what you have been drinking lately? TORB's sunday thread is a useful one for that...
cheers

Big wine with a lot of flavour.
Will probably appreciate a few more years though (As I have found with most Majella's).

David,
From my perspective - 2004 + Majella + Mallee - well worth the investment
Hence 6x in my cellar - I have not tasted yet.
The other one to consider is Balanves The Tally 2004 same class and area (the great Connawarra) and both of these are wounderful wines for now and the future.

Likewise, I am very keen on the wines produced by Majella. I did not know the 04 Malleea had been released. Must get one to try.
Agree with Geoff, the 04 Tally is sensational

Yeah the 04 Tally is certainly something very special but except for Auction wont be too easy to find.

I haven't tried the 2004 Malleea, but their Cabs are a bargain; especially in years like 04 and 05.
