Wine Sites on your mobile

I am thinking of getting a subscription to Jeremy Oliver's site.
Does anybody know if it renders well on a phone. I have an XHMTL browser on the phone, but some sites these days are so heavy or use so much AJAX that they just won't render properly.
It would be great to have this info with me wherever I am. Has anybody had success with this, or another site?

I use the JO site just about every day, I haven't tried it on my PDA phone, but I would think it would be a bit frustrating, the layout isn't great and you have to scroll around on many pages (even on a 1900x1200 screen) to get to menus, selections etc.
The minumum width of the lists of wineries/wines is about 500 pixels, plus the side graphics, menus etc, it might work sort of Ok displayed landscape on a PDA phone with a decent screen.

yeah would be cool to have a dinner party and pull out the old phone out of the front pocket of the stubbies to look up how many points it got.
might help us all decide whether we like the wine or not

Oh come on, I am a newbie, but give me some credit.
I actually thought of this the other night at DM, when they had all those cellar release wines out.
Hmmm, 2000 of XYZ, never tried it, wonder what it's supposed to be like...
It's amazing how often I use the internet connection on my phone for all sorts of things these days.

dont worry dude, there is a bit of wine geek in all of us. some of us have custom cases to take our own glassware to restaurants.
ive been known to take glassware to friends places because i know they have crap stems!! ive also given my webmaster Dave shit for surfing the net on a pda/phone/blackberry thingame between winery cellar doors!!
im sure we could all admit to some geeky behaviour.
dont take it personally. if you do you dont last long!!
peace out

I sat at a dinner as a guest of the SLDS last November ad took notes on my Blackberry.
I wasn't quite up to the 109 point scale though. Although I scored the 75 D'Yquem 99/100, so I must have liked it.

Try downloading Opera Mini - it reconfigures sites for mobiles.

Thanks for the advice everybody.
The public part of the site is great when viewed from my phone. So that bodes well. Congrats to the developers for doing it properly.
Still haven't coughed up for the subscription - getting it for my birthday, so will be able to report back then if the dynamic part keeps up the standards.

My gosh, it impresses me without even tasting it. I get flutters and start hyperventilating just by seeing the label. A 103/109 already.
